Obituary
Mr. Benjamin Piggott 70, of Whiteville, NC exchanged this life for a home in glory on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. He was the son of the late Rev. Silas Daniel Piggott and Mrs. Ethel Roena Clarida Piggott.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 12:00pm (Noon) from Zion Plain Missionary Baptist Church, where the pastor is Rev. Mack Reed. Dr. James L. Smith will be eulogizing the Celebration of Life Services. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery, Whiteville, NC.
A walkthrough viewing will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 4 to 6pm in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr Piggott is survived by four children: Benjamin Lamont Blanks, Peggy Blanks, Angela Burroughs, and Benjamin Burroughs; seven brothers and sisters: Daniel Piggott, Judyth P. Hemingway, Dr. Patricia P. Richardson, Henry Piggott, Ethel Piggott, Shirley Williams Battle, Dr. James L. Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
A facial covering is requested at the viewing and service.
