Obituary

Mr. Sherman "Mu Wakil" Lewis 66, of Whiteville, NC transitioned on Friday December 9, 2022 at Novant New Hanover Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.  He was the son of the late Mrs. Eula Mae Baldwin and Mr. Ralph Carl Lewis. 

Janazah Prayer will be offered on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 1:00pm at Islamic Center of Columbus County, 410 S. JK Powell Blvd. Whiteville, NC.  Burial will follow in Islamic Cemetery of Lumberton, 5358 Shannon Road, Shannon, NC. 

Mr. Lewis leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Phyllis C. Demery of the home, step children: Shante' Thompson and Wesley Thompson both of Whiteville, NC; sisters: Patricia Adams of Monroe, NC, Lunette Baldwin of Charlotte, NC,  Annette Jacob's of Cary, NC,  his twin sister: Shelia Collins of Whiteville, NC; brothers: Joenathan Baldwin, Samuel Baldwin both of Whiteville, NC,  Jimmy Ray Robinson of New Haven, CT, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. 

Facial coverings are requested at the service.
