Mrs. Barbara J. Hewett

Mrs. Barbara J. Hewett 77, of Shallotte, NC exchanged this life for a home in glory on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Mr. John Hardy Hewett of Shallotte, NC, and the daughter of the late Mr. Charles Gause and Mrs. Addie Brooks Gause of Shallotte, NC.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 2:00 from Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Shallotte, NC where Rev. Harry Primus is the pastor. Pastor Joey Hill will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Church Cemetery, Bolivia, NC.

Mrs. Hewett is survived by her husband, Mr. John Hardy Hewett, her children, Jeffrey Gause (Jennifer), Esterlane Graham (Jesse), Alex Greene (Freda), Leslie Gause, Yolanda Gause, and Norris Gause (Yolanda), one brother, Mr. William T. Gause, sister-in-law, Mrs. Luella Bryant (Joseph), a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 from Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 587 Bricklanding Road, Shallotte, NC.
