Obituary
Mrs. Retha Daniels Currie affectionally called (Goosey) 76, of the East Arcadia community of Riegelwood, NC answered the call of the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Pearl Daniels and Mrs. Newresa Blanks Daniels.
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be conducted on Tuesday July 5, 2022, at 1:00pm from Graham Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery, located at 458 East Arcadia Road, Riegelwood, NC.
Mrs. Currie is survived by her husband, Mr. Nathaniel Currie, her children: Gwendolyn Brown, Catherine Grovner (Grayling), James Brown, Jr., and Dr. Nathan Currie, one sister: Missouri (Tootie) Webb, three brothers: Willie Daniels (Dora), Kenneth Daniels (Phyllis), David Daniels, and a host of grandchildren, relatives,and friends.
A walkthrough viewing will be held on Monday July 4, 2022 from 4 to 6pm in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, and also one hour prior to services at the cemetery on Tuesday.
A facial covering is required for viewing and service.
