Mrs. Rosa Parker Obituary

Mrs. Rosa Lee Parker 91, of the Brunswick community of Whiteville, NC quietly passed away with her family by her on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, Whiteville, North Carolina.

She was born May 15, 1928 in Fairmont, NC to the late Mr. Nathaniel and Josephine Brown Dobbins. She was reared by a devoted mother Mrs. Josephine Brown Jones and Mr. Fred Jones.

Mrs. Rosa Lee Parker, services will be conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 12 noon from New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where Rev. Anthony Rowell is the pastor. Rev. Charles Parker is the eulogist. Burial will be in Millican Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 1 until 6 pm on the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church. There will be no viewing after the funeral.

She leaves to cherish fond memories; her children; Mr. Earkin Parker, Jr., Associate Pastor Charles Parker, and Min. Gloria Parker Riddick, grandchildren, Sylvia Jones Barnette raised as a sister, and a host of other relatives and friends.
