Mrs. Thelma (Graddick) Johnson

Mrs. Thelma Graddick Johnson 78, of Chadbourn, NC exchanged this life for a home in glory on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care, the Angel House in Whiteville, NC. 

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Steven Graddick and Mrs. Rosa Barnwell Graddick of Mt. Pleasant, SC. 

Celebration of Life services will be conducted on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 11:00 am, from St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 888 Tommie Wooten Road, Chadbourn, NC. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen, NC. 

She is survived by her husband: Bishop Ronald Johnson, Sr., two sons: Robert Graddick (Mary) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Ronald Johnson, Jr. (Cheryl C.) of Florida, three grandchildren: Zachary, Sasha, Matthew (Scooby) three sisters: Edith Cokley, Martha Cayetano, and Rosa Cokley, one brother: Leroy Graddick, two god-daughters: Lenora Johnson and Willodean Betts, and a host of family and friends. 

Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 2 to 5 pm at Smith Funeral Home chapel and following the service on Friday. 

A facial covering is requested at the viewing and service.
