Prophet Willie Lee MacDonald 70, of Whiteville, NC gave God his hand once again as he crossed over to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC.
He was the earthly son of Bro. Willie Haley and the late Mother Eva MacDonald Haley of Whiteville, NC.
Pastor Willie Lee MacDonald, Sr. or as he was affectionately called"June", worked for the Whiteville City School system as a dedicated cafeteria worker, retiring in 1999.
At an early age he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior under the leadership of Bishop L.E. Best. Willie would then answer the call to ministry in the year 1981. Prophet was called to be a barefoot for 22 years. Prophet MacDonald served as pastor of First Deliverance Apostolic Church of Christ since 2009. He served prior as pastor of True Way Pentecostal Church of Christ in Evergreen, NC. In Prophet Macdonald's 40 plus years of ministry he impacted so many lives.
He lives to cherish his memory his wife, Elect Lady Missionary Sheila MacDonald of the home, 3 children, Antonio MacDonald (Keanna) and Nicole McCray (Chris) both of Fayetteville, NC; Elder Joshua MacDonald (Christy) of Wake Forest, NC; 2 sisters, Bessie Mae McCutchen and Assistant Pastor Marcella Powell of Whiteville, NC; 3 brothers, Marshall Haley of Lumberton, NC, Arthur Haley of Seattle, WA, and Charles Haley of Brandywine, MD, a host of grandchildren, 2 great grands, relatives and friends.
One son preceded him to the grave, Willie Lee MacDonald, Jr.
Visitation will be held at First Deliverance Apostolic Church of Christ located at 2441 James B. White Hwy, Whiteville, NC.
A walkthrough viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4 to 6 pm in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Homegoing Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 am from Campground Cemetery.
